 GF type rotary bar screen, also called circulated teeth rake bar screen or rotary type solid-water separator, is a kind of special water treatment equipment for continuous and automatic operation to intercept and remove solids and foreign objects of different sizes in the liquid, which has been widely used in the municipal sewage treatment, city water industry and at the water inlet of the power plants; this equipment can also be used as the pretreatment screening equipment in the wastewater treatment process in different industry sectors such as textile, food processing, paper mill and tannery etc. this equipment is the one of the most advanced solid-liquid separation equipment at present in China, which has filled the blank. 


Working principle >>>

 GF type rotary bar screen is such an equipment that comprises a set of rotary screen chain assembled by uniquely-designed rake teeth; driven by the motor reducer, the chain with rake teeth will make rotary movement opposite to the water flow direction.

 When the chain with rake teeth moves to the top of the equipment, the direction guide of the grooved wheel and curved rail will bring relative movement between the rake teeth of each group to make them self-cleaned, as the result, most of the solids will drop under gravity, while the remaining solids and foreign objects will be cleaned from the rake teeth through opposite movement of the cleaner.

 The rake teeth chain is similar to the bar screen in terms of the water flow direction. The clearance between the rake teeth assembled on the chain may be different for choice depending on the working conditions. After the solids and foreign objects contained in the water are separated and removed by the rake teeth, a smooth water flow through the bar screen is thus guaranteed. The equipment may be either continuously or intermittently operated.

 The outstanding advantages of this equipment are high level of automation, high separation efficiency, lower power consumption, no running noise and good anticorrosion performance as well as unattended, continuous and stable operation; the overload safety pin installed on the equipment can be automatically broken in case the rake teeth is under gravity or blockage so as to avoid overload working and protect the normal functioning of the drive motor and speed reducer.

 The time interval for running of the equipment may be adjusted according to the user’s requirement so that the periodical operation of the equipment is possible; the equipment may also be automatically controlled by the level difference before and after the bar screen; manual control is also provided to make it easy for repairing and maintenance purposes; the above functions are available for choice by the customers depending on different purposes. The reasonable structural design of the equipment can ensure no clogging or blockage problem while working due to its strong self-cleaning ability; therefore, it involves less workload for daily maintenance.

 Thanks to all the above advantages, the rotary type bar screen has been widely used in the following applications: separation of foreign objects existing in the municipal sewer and canals, pretreatment and separation for sewage treatment, solid interception and removing at the water intake of the water supply plants and the cooling water inlet of the power plants; solid separation for pretreatment of the wastewater in following industry sectors as textile, dyeing, chemical, slaughtering, tannery, paper mill and brewery etc for protecting the pumps from blockage.

 The equipment may be classified into GF-300- 3600 models according to its different widths; for equipment with width exceeding 1800mm, it is suggested to use more than one equipment working in parallel; the clearance of the rake teeth includes 1mm, 3mm, 5mm, 10mm, 20mm, 30mm, 40mm and 50mm etc; the factors considered for model selection include water flow rate, lifting height, solid-water separation capacity and the shape and size of the solid to be separated as well as the intended material; the length of the equipment shall be designed according to the depth of the water canal.

 Control system >>>

 The control system for the equipment is subject to choice by the customer or provided by the customer, which may be put to use at site after connecting to the 3-phase power supply.

 Control buttons for local startup or shutdown of the equipment are available on the local electric control cabinet; the local electric control cabinet is provided buttons for startup and shutdown of the equipment and signal lamps for startup, shutdown and emergency as well. All signal lamps for the equipment are energy-saving type for purpose of power saving; motor protector is also provided in the electric control cabinet; the control cabinet may have interface for connection to the PLC remote control; the outer casing of the electric control cabinet may be either anticorrosion coated carbon steel or stainless steel; if it should be installed outside, rain shelter is to be provided;
