GY Type Bar Screen with Steel Rope

 

 Introduction >>>

 The traditional steel-rope driven bar screen is witnessed of such problems as disorder of steel ropes resulting in abnormal operation, low efficiency and complicated installation and commissioning procedure. However, based on the successful experience of overseas similar equipments, our company has developed and designed the latest generation of steel-rope driven bar screen featuring easy installation and stable operation with no more disorder problem of the steel rope.





Working principle >>>

When the incoming sewage flows through the bar screen, the solid trash with size bigger than the screen clearance will be stopped and intercepted; press the “running” button to run the rake motor; when the rake bucket opens to the preset position, the inductive switch fixed on the rake-opening device will give instruction to stop the motor, then the elevating motor of the rake bucket starts to work to drive the rake bucket move downward                                   


along both sides of the guide rail; when the rake bucket moves downward to the bottom of the bar screen pit, the height limiters on the drive shaft starts to work and the elevating motor of the rake bucket stops, and the rake opening motor will be automatically started to close the rake and the rake bucket will insert into the clearance between the underwater screen bars, then the motor stops automatically after rake bucket is closed in place, after that, the elevating motor starts to work; then the rake bucket is driven by the steel ropes upward to pick up the trash and foreign objects before the bar screen; when the rake bucket moves upward to the discharge point, the cleaning scrapping plate at the top of the frame will act in response to the ascending of the rake bucket to scrape the trash into the trash conveyor automatically; after the rake bucket continues its ascend to the specified height, the limiting stopper will disconnect the power supply, thus one trash cleaning process is completed; the equipment may also be used for continuous operation.

  • The rake bucket is designed for treatment of relative large-size suspended solids, drifting and for use in relative deep canal;

  • The use of clip-type rope guide device brings complete solution to the problem of rope disorder;

  • No need of underwater maintenance, easy maintenance and management;

  • Dual guard contacts for upper and lower limits and limit position of rake opening to ensure safe running of the equipment in the event of failure of the limit switches;

      GY type bar screen with steel ropes is featured with big volume of rake bucket and high pulling force, it may be widely used in tap water works, rainwater pumping stations, cooling water intake of power plants, municipal sewage treatment plants and industrial wastewater treatment plants for interception and removal of large suspended solids, which is a kind of satisfactory pretreatment equipment for treatment of high flow source water.

h: Water depth (unit: m), normally considered as 1m or more than 0.3m lower than the canal depth;


V: Water flow speed through the screen, normally 0.6 -1.2m/s
