Introduction >>>

The rotary drum type bar screen, also called screw press bar screen or screw fine bar screen, is used in the wastewater pretreatment process, which is applicable for municipal sewage treatment project, industrial wastewater and domestic sewage treatment projects; it is used for interception and removal of drifting in the water, which is integrated with multiple functions including trash interception, screw lifting and screenings squeezing. It is one of the most advanced fine bar screens with up-to-date process at present.

 The entire rotary drum type bar screen consists of rotary mesh cartridge, riding wheel of mesh cartridge, front and rear reinforcing rings and screenings stop plate, conveyor and press, support, drive unit and cleaning device etc.

 Working principle:

The rotary cleaning mesh cartridge makes circular movement in water at an angle of 35°for 5- 8 circles per minute; 1/3 area of the mesh cartridge is under water; the sewage and drifting enters the mesh cartridge from its lower inlet, the drifting will adhere to the inner walls of the mesh cartridge and carried away the water flow; when the mesh cartridge reaches the highest point, the foreign objects will drop under gravity into the trash transportation system and then transported and pressed to the outlet, while the filtered water flows through the clearance of the mesh cartridge.

Characteristics and applications >>>

 The conventional bar screen shall be furnished with screw conveyor and screenings press, while the rotary drum type bar screen integrates the trash removing, conveying and press all by itself, which can substantially improve the energy utilization and reduce the construction cost.

 As the clearance of the mesh cartridge of the rotary drum type bar screen is fixed, so the trash removal is more complete, which avoid the disadvantages of the traditional rake teeth type bar screen with pollutant removal efficiency of more than 98%.

 Both ends of the mesh cartridge is fixed with thick stainless steel rings precision machined with the same concentricity to ensure the concentricity during the rotation of the mesh cartridge.

 The driving force needed for the spiral rotation of the conveyor and press is from the same speed reducer for rotation of the mesh cartridge; the screw used for conveying and press is shaft screw with its blades made of stainless steel; the gradual decrease of the screw pitch from bottom to up will result in gradual increase of the press capacity.

Control Cabinet System >>>

 The control system for the equipment is subject to choice by the customer or provided by the customer, which may be put to use at site after connecting to the 3-phase power supply.

 Control buttons for local startup or shutdown of the equipment are available on the local electric control cabinet; the local electric control cabinet is provided buttons for startup and shutdown of the equipment and signal lamps for startup, shutdown and emergency as well. All signal lamps for the equipment are energy-saving type for purpose of power saving; motor protector is also provided in the electric control cabinet; the control cabinet may have interface for connection to the PLC remote control; the outer casing of the electric control cabinet may be either anticorrosion coated carbon steel or stainless steel; if it should be installed outside, rain shelter is to be provided;
