 DT Volute Type Sludge Dewatering System

 

Application:

The volute type sludge dewatering system is suitable for solid-liquid separation activities in following industrial sectors including sewage treatment plants, food, pharmaceutical, chemical, petrochemical, paper mills, metallurgy, dyeing and husbandry etc; it is mostly used for further dewatering of the thickened sludge and low-concentration sludge in the sewage treatment process to produce sludge cakes.  

Working principle:

The screw pitch of the screw shaft will gradually get smaller; the space between the rings of the filter part will get narrower and narrower when the sludge is closer to the drain outlet and the time interval for sludge discharge will diminish in turn. The backpressure plate will bring gradual increase to the inside pressure to make the volume reduced continuously, which in this way can make the sludge completely dewatered and drained out, at the same time, the adjusting of the rotation speed of the screw shaft and the gap of the backpressure plate can be used to adjust the sludge treatment capacity and the water content of the sludge cakes. 

 Sumitomo-made speed reducer from Japan with high torque and lower power consumption is used by our company with its discs completely made of stainless steel 304 material through nitrogen protection laser cutting; the blades of the screw shaft are made of anticorrosion wear-resistant stainless steel; the sprayers used are universal sprayer heads made of stainless steel 304; the backpressure plate at the sludge outlet are elastic

structured in order to increase the dry rate of the outlet sludge.

    Wide applications:

    The equipment has seen wide application in all the different types of industries for sludge treatment including municipal sewage plants, food, beverage, chemical, tannery, welding material, paper mills, dyeing and pharmaceutical etc;

     It is suitable for dewatering of the sludge with high or low content of sludge; for dewatring operation of the low-concentration (2000mg/L) sludge, it is of no need to build thickening tank or storage tank, which as the result can bring down the construction cost and reduce the release of phosphor and anaerobic odorous smell.

The small size of the equipment makes it possible for installation at any site, which as the result can reduce the land space of the dewatering machine and reduce the construction cost as well.


 


No need of building thickener and storage tank as the equipment itself has the function for sludge thickening, which can reduce the land space needed for the entire sewage treatment station and can bring down the project construction cost.


 


The dewatering system has its own cleaning function, so it is not necessary to use large quantity of water to clean the sludge clogging;


Use of low-speed screw squeezing technology with low power consumption;


The automatic controller used in the control cabinet can ensure 24 hour full automatic, continuous and unattended operation of the equipment from sludge delivery, chemical dosing, thickening, dewatering to the discharge of the sludge cakes, which as the result can reduce the labor cost.
