GLB Type Cloth Filter (Rotary Disc Fiber Filter)

 

 General description:

 GLB type cloth filter, also called fiber rotary disc filter or rotary disc filter, is the new-generation high-efficiency filter researched and developed by Jiangsu Geli baed on the technologies of the traditional rotary disc filter.

 This filter technology is used in the sewage in-depth treatment process for SS removal; the use of this equipment with chemical dosing can also remove some phosphor, turbidity COD and other pollutants; featuring simplified structure, easy operation and maintenance, less use of land space and lower power consumption etc, this type of equipment has been widely used in renovation or intermediate water recycling treatment etc in newly-built sewage treatment plants and other applications.




Working principle:


 GLB cloth filter is composed of center water outlet rotary drum with, rotary filter disc, rotary sealing device, elastic cloth back-suction device and automatic control system etc; the rotary disc is fixed around the center drum with through holes to the center frum. The raw water flows through the water inlet and flow stabilizer to inside the system for contact with the rotary disc; fiber filter cloth is installed at both sides of the rotary disc, which is made of new-type nanometer fiber material with size of filter pore of less than 10um; then the filtered raw water comes out from the hollow outlet shaft head.


 The rotary drum is motionless during filtering operation; with the filtering continues, the foreign objects and solids intercepted on the filter cloth will be on increase continuously resulting in gradual water level rise in the filter tank and diminishing water flow through the filter cloth; when the residues reaches the specified quantity and the water level in the filter tank reaches the rated level, the backwash unit of the system will work to suck out the clean water from the filter cloth in reserve direction and clean off the impurities on the filter cloth completely; the operation continues while the backwash and suction is under process which achieve the purpose of simultaneous filtering and backwashing operation automatically and completely improve the working efficiency of the equipment.

Technical features:

1.Stable and reliable treatment efficiency: the size of pores on the filter cloth is less than 10um; the raw material used for the filter cloth is modified fiber with thick wool, which is made through special knitting process – twill weaving process; the filter cloth is featured with strong anti-impact ability, no peel-off of the fibers on the surface especially during the backwash or sewage drain process; and it can filter solids with less size; 



2. Less use of land space: use of vertical rotary disc instead of the traditional filter; all lateral sides of the rotary disc can be used for filtering purpose, which as the result can obtain the maximized filtering area at limited plan area and hence greatly improved the filtering efficiency;


3. Low water head loss: the unique design of the equipment can ensure only 0.2-0.3m water head loss in the equipment and makes it possible to avoid water lifting;


4. Low construction cost: small volume of filter tank, simple structure inside, low fabrication cost and low installation cost; the total cost on the filter tank is more than 30% lower than that of sand filter and other filter tanks;


5. Low operation cost: the operation cost is very low, which is less than 0.005 Yuan/ton.water;


6. High backwash efficiency, low water consumption and short period: standard design for use of modules; the water consumption for backwash is only 1/2-1/3 that of the traditional sand filters; no need of equipment shutdown during the backwashing process;


7. Easy construction, installation, operation and management: the equipment’s running is fully automatically controlled with the filtering and backwash and suction etc fully program controlled; also multiple protections are provided for the equipment; no designated person is needed for its daily operation.



 Innovative design:


1. The height of the fibers on the surfaces of the filter cloth is between 13-18mm, which can ensure the filtering accuracy and the sewage flow rate as well, especially that the impurities and foreign objects adhered to the filter cloth can be easily cleaned off during the backwash or residue suction process, which can avoid the impurities retained at the root of the fiber wool and extend the life of the filter cloth as well;


2. The use of thinner filter cartridge can ensure the strength and increase the numbers of the filter discs used as well, which can accordingly increase the filtering area and treatment capacity;


3. Higher flow through the filter cloth: the filter cloth is woven by new-type nanometer fiber material of different structure, which can make it impossible for adhering of the foreign objects;



4. The underwater rotary seal used is wear-resistant polyurethane seal ring, which is very easy for maintenance and replacement;


5. The slide bearing is used as underwater bearing; the shaft seat and fasteners are both made of stainless steel 304;
